Check out this sweet fuckin embroidery I bought!

After the Three Gorges Dam, we made a stop in Yichang, and oh boy were we glad we did, because we stopped at an embroidery shop and I bough some grand slam pieces of embroidery. Get a load of this dog. This dog is mine. I own it. It was the only one they had, and it's mine. You want a piece of embroidery like this don't you?

 Check out that detail

Now check out that detail in better focus!

Wow!!!!!

Woof. Woof.

You thought that dog was cool, wait till you get a load of this one! I don't even know what it is, but I like it! To think that a young girl made these pieces of embroidery! That's right, a young girl, the lady said! It takes hours and hours to make even a small piece like this one. And what a steal for only 100 Yuan! (a little over fifteen bucks)

Get a load of the kite that this kid is flying! That's right folks, Yichang, the taxi driver assured us, is famous for their embroidery, and this shop, the shop owner assured us, is the best embroidery shop in Yichang. And these were THE MOST AWESOME PIECES OF EMBROIDERY THEY HAD. So, I'm pretty sure I've bought the sweetest pieces of embroidery in Hubei Province at least, probably in all of China.

Look at the detail on those faces! The dogs! (Maybe a "quote" of the artists other work?"
There's a big butterfly right here in the foreground of the piece. Is it a kit? Is it just a big butterfly? Is it a normal size butterfly right close up? The mystery in this piece is phenomenal.

And what is this? Nobody knows. The only kite without a string, flown by no kid in the kid in particular. The ghost kite. The monster lurking behind the cries of laughter and soaring kites ready, always ready. For what? There are no answers in this piece of embroidery. Only questions.
