Arrived Safe in Delhi!

Howdy.

We've arrived safe in India! Customs at the Dehli airport's pretty cool:

And here we all are crammed into the back of a teeny tiny auto taxi. It might look cosy, but these things can actually fit 8-10 with about two cubic feet of breathing room to spare!

I'll introduce all the poets! On the left right there is the wonderful Wang Ping, and next to her is the lovely Linda Ashok, our host and head honcho at Redleaf Poetry India. I'm right next to Linda wearing the really cool sunglasses, and in the foreground is Christopher Staudinger! I'll introduce everyone further later, but now at least you should know who's who in the pictures.

We have not yet done any flag installations, poetry readings, or any of that, but we have done some shopping. There's lots of shopping to do in Delhi -- so much shopping it follows you out of the stores down the street! Just say "Karlheinz Stockhausen" or "Interstate Highway Pact" in a stern voice and folks like this little girl here will leave you alone.

Ping bought a scarf.

Nobody bought any of the toned milk, so we still don't know what it is

Lots of drapey things for sale. Seems to be the style here in Delhi.

WE DRANK THE WATER

It tasted Sulfurous.

I got the holes in my shoes fixed! Turned out I'd agreed to pay way too much. Linda told me to never buy anything ever again without her.

We arrived on National Friendship day! The average college guy wants nothing to do with Friendship Day. Guess why!

Okay, that's it for now!
